BHR is pleased to offer the Domestic Violence Intervention Group. This program is a minimum of 26 weeks in both daytime or evening classes.
Groups are offered on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Program Content:
- Participants must take total responsibility for their own behaviors
- Confrontation of beliefs and attitudes is central to this work
- Tactics used to control their partner must be eliminated for battering to cease
- Minimization and denial will be challenged by group facilitators
- Group facilitators will assist men to develop relationships with women based on respect by teaching skills and alternative behaviors.
Program Requirements:
- Participants must sign a group contract
- Participants must follow all group rules
- Participants must sign a confidentiality waiver
Also now offering a 52 week Domestic Violence Intervention Program for repeat offenders.
Groups are currently available in Battle Creek at various times. The cost is $75.00 for the initial intake, group materials and orientation, and $20.00 per group session.
